Background and construction condition: Paojiang New District, Shaoxing City, covers land are 66 Km2 in plan. It will become a new urban section of Shaoxing and a modern industrial new downtown oriented to hi-tech industry. According to Development Plan for Modern Logistics in Shaoxing City, the logistic base in Paojiang New District, Shaoxing City, will become a key node in the modern logistic plan of Shaoxing City. The base will integrate four logistic resources to establish management and service center, information transaction center, transportation center, warehousing center, distribution center, and part-load express transportation center with complete supporting services. The base enjoys three advantages: (1) Industrial foundation. The concentrated industrial base is the demand source of the development of modern logistics while the perfect logistic system is the important support for optimizing the investment environment and speeding up the construction of industrial base. (2) Traffic and location. Paojiang New District is south to old downtown of Shaoxing, east to Shangyu, west to Keqiao and north to Binhai Industrial Zone. It is also adjacent to Mirror Lake New District, a green heart of Shaoxing. (3) Land in planning. As a new urban section, compared to the old downtown and neighboring areas, Paojiang New District has little restriction in planning and abundant land resource, which are the precondition of constructing large scale logistic base. Construction scale and content: The base covers land area around 1000 Mu. 300 Mu will be launched in the first phase project with investment around RMB 1.5 billion Yuan for the construction of logistic information center and merchandise distribution center. The project will be finished in 3 years for the operation of over 1000 3rd party logistic enterprises. It will integrate transaction center, information center, transportation center, distribution center, warehousing center, part-load express transportation center, overland port, etc. together to form a large-scale professional logistic platform.
